Author
Milena CIfali is a twice published author. Her first book.
Mallacoota Time- The Lost Summer 2020 is a poignant retelling of
her journey back to hope and home after losing her home, music,
instruments, parrots and community.
Her second book, One Foot Forward- Reflections on Healing,
came in the aftermath of a traumatic car accident that left her trapped
under the car for twenty minutes, and subsequently hospitalised

Using insights on healing gained during this transition
through the process, she wished to share her journey
in the hope that it may help others going through trauma.

Mallacoota Time- The Lost Summer 2020
Milena Cifali
" A genuine and rare gem. An eloquent account of extraordinary events and the losses which were experienced as a result. And adaptation to these losses. Richly descriptive, engaging, unpretentious and honest. After a year of so much loss and grief on a personal and global scale, which continuwurs to this day, this book may offer solace to others who may have experienced profound grief and loss."
Sally Cooper, registered Music Therapist
"Milena's memoir Mallacoota Time is a telling narrative that gives rare insight to others who might have endured similar loss and trauma. Its use of lyric language adds a sensitivity to the many personal moments that are normally private and unspoken. Milena's words capture a world that can help others who have had to confront the unimaginable devastation that bushfires bring."

"Have just now finished reading your book. What an incredible journey and a testimony in the face of adversity. Every time i picked up the small book tears ran down my face. You have gone through immense challenges and yet survived with hope and gratitude."
Salvador Hunziker, Pastor
'Milena recounts her horrific mishap, enough to daunt a lesser soul, but Milena uses her own pain, and the sadness of her fellow patients and finds strength to contemplate big philosophical questions. That is the essence of her book."
